Transportation

The public transportation in Copenhagen consists of regional trains (the train from the airport to the central station), S-trains, Metro and buses. The same tickets work in all of the transportation means.
Buses only take small change. You must purchase a ticket before entering a train. These can be bought at train stations and kiosks.
The cheapest, if using public transportation several times, is to buy a 10-clip card. The card has to be stamped in the yellow machines when entering a bus or before entering a train.
A taxi from Tivoli to the IT University costs approximately 80- 90 DKK (10,5-12€) in the day time.

  • From Copenhagen airport to the Central Station (City centre)

From Copenhagen Airport there is a direct connection by train to the Central Station every 10 minutes (direction Helsingoer).

When you enter the arrival hall proceed straight ahead to the train ticket office. Please make sure to purchase (and stamp) a train ticket before entering the train. The cost for a single ride (Copenhagen Airport – the Central Station) is 27 DKK for 3 zones. You can also buy a 10-clip card for 2 zones at 115 DKK (approx 16 Euro), which is cheaper if you plan on using public transport while you are in Copenhagen. Before starting your journey you will have to stamp your card 2 times (the trip is 3 zones). (The same on the way back). This will leave you with 6 clips available on your card, which can be used for public transport in the Greater Copenhagen Area.

Go to the right and down to track 2. The train ride between Copenhagen Airport and the Central Station is approx. 15 min.

current snapshot of Danish design, where contemporary design lives
side by side with classics from the 1950’s. Danish design is characterized
by an unimpressed and informal design approach where quality,
function, and the user take centre stage. Danish design is made for
daily use – from furniture, fashion, bicycles, street signs, china,
cutlery, and wheelchairs to modern digital graphics.
The “Use it!” exhibits invite visitors to try out and play their way
through the exhibition. Look, sit, touch, push, build, move, jump,
think. Use it!
